If the evening of events at LMNT Gallery located in Wynwood in Miami’s Design District could be summed up in one word- it would be Spectacular!
A night saturated in creative spirit that could not be contained nor confined to within the walls of the LMNT gallery roared on June 28th, 2013 in that little part of town. Live bodies walking around the venue covered in art were even seen, in this mass conjunction of creative talent.
Throughout the entire night, we made friends and attended to our guests in a dizzying fashion that could not be properly reminisced until days after the artistic toxicity was slowly oozed out the pores of the body. It was a meet and greet, a mixer, a concert event, an exhibition of talent, and a debauchery all blended together- which made for an excellent collaborative breeding ground.
The paintings of Iconic Women and from the Cube Series were triumphantly displayed on the walls high up in the air, towering over the crowd and proudly spot-lighted, adorning the air, and captured from every angle of the room. People were overheard commenting about the art in most interesting ways, from describing the emotions they felt to interpreting their own perspectives of what they thought the paintings meant.
I had my share of explaining through what seemed to be endless conversations, to the point that my neck muscles were exhausted. No spectator, who was interested in finding the true meaning behind the paintings, was neglected of a well-rounded verse, as I shared the entire creative process with each and every one of them.
The night was topped off with a fashion show that created a stir in the night, with it’s provocative designers and models stomping across the runway in their garments, or lack thereof. Each and every minute was sustained with the intent to quench the inquisitive thirst of every person who dared to ask about the art.
At the end of the night, we ended up selling some art, making new friends and partners, and setting the stage for out next venture in the Art Movement happening right now in Miami. The district has already had it’s fill of great artists and venues and the attention is receding, but what seems to be the peak of the district is only the high tide water mark of the precious wave- as a new wave of artists emerge in swells, ready to hit that mark again, and we are riding that wave all the way.
